Fire Door and Fire Compartmentation Survey
Maywins Fire offer fully accredited inspections for both fire doors and fire stopping compartmentation.
A fire stopping survey is designed to investigate a building for fire safety compliance, specifically focusing on the construction methods and systems implemented within the fabric of the building to prevent and slow down propagation of fire, smoke and toxic fumes.
Our trained inspectors will carry out an intensive survey of the compartment lines within your building to assess their likely performance in the event of a fire.
Defects in compartmentation lines can take numerous forms and require expert identification.
Following a survey, we deliver our report to you and from there can quote for any remedial action that is required.
Fire Door Installation and Maintenance
Maywins Fire covers all aspects of supply and installation of new fire doors, fire-rated ironmongery and certification.
With our trusted door manufacturer who also is Q Marked via BM Trada; we are able to meet tight deadlines and create doors to meet our clients needs whether it’s matching like-for-like or creating a bespoke door set.
We also carry out repairs where possible on existing fire doors, this includes replacing intumescent fire strip and smoke seals, replacing damaged and broken fire-rated glass panels, and replacing fire-rated ironmongery.
There is a legal requirement for manufacturers of fire doors to demonstrate the ability of their products to resist the passage and spread of fire. However, if they are not properly maintained, their fire resistance capabilities can be seriously compromised.
The BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door Maintenance scheme has been designed to provide reassurance to specifiers, contractors and end users that the product they have chosen has been maintained correctly and that it should perform as intended.
